Xbox 360 Console

Those of you out there with an Xbox 360 console, keep rocking.  I love the 360.  I've played Playstation 3 as well, I don't have anything against it, in fact I think it's pretty sweet, but once you get used to an XBox controller, it's tough to switch.  I recently modded my disc drive to play burned games and I gotta say, burning games isn't THAT worth it.  I mean, yes, you save like $50 on games, but it takes at least 24 hours to download/burn the game to a 8.5GB disc.  And I have a pretty good computer too.  But $50 is a good deal of money to save.  So far I think I've downloaded 5 games.  It's cool, but it also slows down the hardware of the XBox.  Sometimes when I don't wanna deal with slow loading, I just plug in my other Elite and play on that.  I recommend modding your disc drive if you wanna save money.  Look on Craigslist for people who mod them.  A lot of them do it for around $20.  Look into it!

  1. I've owned an Xbox 360 since they released. I have never flashed my console before and I don't plan on doing it because I actually only play one game, Call of Duty: Black ops. But I do see the benefits in modding your flash drive.

  2. 360 modding isn't really worth it unless you have some serious time on your hands.

  3. Yeah, Crank, you gotta have time on your hands. And when downloading, you gotta do it when you wont need the computer for 24 hours.. Unless you have 2 seperate computers.

  4. I modded my PS2 a while back and it overall wasn't worth it. Seems like doing the same to the 360 would be a wash depending on how many games you download

  5. I must be lucky because everyone is always talking about how their 360 is getting the RRoD, but I've had my Xbox for nearly 3 years now, and I've yet to experience the infamous ring.

  6. @cjk98 I know! mine has never RRoD either. Though I also installed a second internal intercooler and replaced the heat syncs so mine can run for like a month straight and never overheat.

  7. I've never been a big console fan, but really don't like how the xbox controllers feel.
